Professional Synopsis

QA/QC Engineer having more than 10 years of experience in construction of road & infrastructure, landscape and irrigation works. I have been extensively engaged in inspection, testing, quality assurance and quality control of site activities such as deep excavations, manhole construction, pipe-jacking, dewatering, pavement/ roadwork’s, utilities diversion/ interface, etc. Major thrust area covers various components of flexible pavements, semi rigid pavement (as Earthworks, Subgrade, Sub-base, road base, CBM, Asphalt works), Landscape work, Irrigation works and all type of Dry & wet utility works as surface water drainage, potable water, Foul sewer, electrical networks, TSE line, electrical ducts, sub-stations construction, telecom networks, UGN networks, safety barriers & road furniture’s etc.

Project Description: Construction of 11km three lane dual carriageway and all related Infrastructures works – Site Clearance, Earthwork, Sub-base, Asphalt, Road Marking, Manholes, Gullies, ITS (Intelligent Transport System), SSD (Security Service System) & Telecommunication ducts.

Responsibilities:

Oversee quality control and assurance activities for road and infrastructure construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, project requirement and specifications.

Develop and implement quality inspection plans and procedures to identify and resolve non-conformities and deficiencies in construction processes and materials.

Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Closure of the non-conformance reports issued by client representative, consultant, main contractor and designer by providing the valid root cause, corrective action plan with the necessary evidence.

Implemented corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and prevent reoccurrence in subsequent construction phases.

Closing of the site observation reports raised during the ongoing site activities or Site walks by providing the corrective actions and preventive actions to be taken.

Raise internal Non-conformance report (INCR) in case of deviation in the implantation of the project.

Preparation for facing the Audits conducted by consultant and client representative.

Monitoring the material submittals are submitted on time to get approvals of the material prior to use at the site.

Maintaining logs for submittals, IRs, lab reports and other documents.

Actively participating in project meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful completion of construction projects within scheduled timelines.

Conducting QA/QC toolbox talk with QA/QC Inspectors, site engineers, foreman and site peoples at site prior to start any new activities.

Preparing monthly progress report and site questionnaire.

Preparation and monitoring of tracking sheets of different activities such as utility works, surface drainage, road activities etc.. Ongoing on site for proper record and to avoid any missing of INRs/RFIs.

Led a team of QA/QC inspectors and technicians in monitoring and evaluating construction activities to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Reviewed construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents to verify compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

Worked as Site Engineer for 20 Km Highway (NH-80), Flexible Pavement with embankment, Sub-grade, sub-base (GSB), Base course (WMM), Bituminous Macadam, Bituminous Concrete. Responsible for laboratory & field testing of the construction. Sub-base, base course & wearing course, bituminous & non bituminous as per Technical Specification. Maintaining the quality check during the preparation of embankment, Sub-grade, sub-base (GSB), Base-Course (WMM), Bituminous & Concrete works.

Responsibilities:

Supervise the works on day-to-day basis as per the work programmed.

Ensuring the works contracts and contractual Clauses related to quality or quantities of works to be followed properly.

Review the field-testing results and order removal and substitution of substandard materials and/or works as required.

Review the provision towards quality assurance and carry out quality control tests as specified in technical specification during construction period.

Ensure that the construction work is accomplished in accordance with the technical specifications.
