Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA-G) is a Company incorporated under the Companies Ordinance, 1984 and wholly owned by the Government of Pakistan (the “GOP”). Duties and Responsibilities:-
·  Technical Evaluation: Assess designs for Solar, Hydel, and Wind Power Plants for integration into the National Grid.
·  Contract Management: Oversee Renewable Power Project contracts, including cleantech integration (e.g., storage) to support
Distributed Generation.
·  Strategic Analysis: Provide bespoke analyses, documentation, and presentations for informed decision-making in executive
management discussions.
·  Project Oversight: Ensure timely project commissioning by closely monitoring activities, reporting progress to Executive
Management, and taking necessary actions to prevent delays.
·  Regulatory Affairs: Handle routine issues of assigned Independent Power Producers (IPPs), manage correspondence with
government entities, and work on regulatory matters in the Energy Sector.
·  Panel of Experts: Nominated as a Panel of Experts (POE) member to assist the government in finalizing feasibility studies for Solar,
Hydro, and Wind Power Projects.
·  Energy Purchase Agreements: Contribute to Energy/Power Purchase Agreement (EPA/PPA) negotiations with various IPPs.
·  Commissioning Procedures: Prepare Commissioning Test Procedures for Hydro, Wind, and Solar IPPs and approve them for plant
testing.
·  Construction Oversight: Review construction activities and reports for compliance until the commercial operation date.
·  Technology Promotion: Promote renewable energy technologies and their integration into the national power generation mix.
·  Technology Scrutiny: Evaluate technology offerings from IPPs against international specifications and estimates.
·  Feasibility Studies: Review feasibility studies for the induction of Renewable Energy Systems.
·  Bid Management: Act as the focal person for opening bidding documents and finalizing RFPs/Tenders.
·  Project Development: Maintain flexibility in work schedules to expedite project development.
