As the Resident Engineer, my responsibilities include monitoring the daily water levels of Lake Victoria in Jinja City and tracking the discharges released from Owen Dam on the Victoria Nile. I analyze this data and prepare periodic reports (daily, monthly, and annually) while managing the inventory needs for the Egyptian Irrigation Mission (EIM). Additionally, I am responsible for the procurement of goods and services for the mission.
I provide technical advice on procurement activities throughout all phases of the procurement cycle. My supervisory and follow-up responsibilities include:
•The Uganda-Egypt Aquatic Weeds Control Project Phase 6, as well as other bilateral cooperation projects between Egypt and Uganda, with a budget of $3.5 million.
•Supervising the construction and completion of the solar-powered rainwater harvesting dams project, with a budget of $1.5 million.
•Overseeing the rehabilitation of mission buildings, valley tanks, boreholes, and protection works for the side slopes of lakes.
