Summary
A Quality Assurance Engineer in the construction industry with more than Eight (8+) years of professional experience in achieving customer satisfaction, problem-solving, preparing project quality plans and method statements as per project specifications, and guiding all technical staff to achieve quality work on time and within budget.

Professional Experience
CHINA STATE CONSTRUCTION (CSCEC), QA-QC Engineer

Project – NEOM Spine Infrastructure Running Tunnel, Saudi Arabia – Tabuk

●      Inspection of the production process to be done compatible with production quality methods.

●      Perform QA/QC activities on NATM tunnel excavation, first layer construction (Shotcrete and steel timbering, bolting and other support activities) and second layer construction phases (Permanent layer, membrane works, dewatering etc.),

●      Preparing methodologies and test plans for related works. (Concreting, Membrane Isolation, De-watering injections, paving etc.)

●      Managing a team of technicians for all site activities under the supervision of Deputy Manager of QA/QC

●      Reporting non-conformities and suggesting/monitoring corrective actions

●      Organise site inspections / testing activities for approvals with Employer Representative.

●      Preparing and checking necessary documents (Casting reports, inspection reports, NDT reports etc.)

Project – ADB Funded Rehabilitation / Improvements of 88km of Rural Roads in the Anuradhapura District, Sri Lanka

●      Conducted and supervised the testing of construction materials to ensure that materials meet design specifications and obtained the source approval for all construction materials from the consultant and client.

●      Supervised and instructed on all kind of road construction materials sampling and testing.

●      Directing the laboratory team to quality control the construction works so that the project progress is not hindered.

●      All quality control documents are maintained as per ISO standard and submitted to the client on time.

●      Prepared the Low-cost concrete mix design according to the project requirements.

●      Guided the Concrete Mixing Plant staff on quality assurance while using resources more efficiently.

●      Prepared the Asphalt mix designs of various types i.e. Base, Binder and wearing course, obtaining approvals from consultant Engineers, and ensuring the same to be produced from Asphalt plant.

●      Maintained the Laboratory equipment properly.
