Junior Year Project – Truss Bridge Design:

● Designed a truss bridge on a 24 meters deep river valley, with an average incline of 63 degrees

resulting in an opening at the top of 44 meters.

● Used the Bridge Designer Software, MathCAD, and Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint to optimize

the truss bridge design to meet the design requirement while targeting to be most cost effective in

material utilization.

● Built a scaled down prototype design of the bridge based on the digital simulation results.

● Learned the importance of using effective engineering design methods while maintaining the target

of being cost efficient on resources utilization and overall design cost.

Senior Year Project – Assembly Conveyer Belt Design:

● Designed a conveyer bult system for a light manufacturing plant, for moving objects ranging up to

50 KG.

● Used the Solid works Software, MathCAD, and Microsoft Excel to optimize the design and specify

efficient system with least power consumption. The final design specified the general configuration

arrangement, the motors sizes, control unit, gearboxes, structural supports, and remaining required

material.

● Built a 3-meter-long prototype design, fully motorized with moving scaled-down loads.

● Gained deep understanding of engineering design principles and simple manufacturing processes in

meeting the project requirements.

American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)

Member of ASME since November 2021. Participated in the arrangement and coordination of monthly

ASME events at the Fairmont state university chapter.
